Ingredients

Serves
4
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 500g B Strong Shredded Beef (prepared and seasoned as desired)
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • ½ cup sliced red onions
  • 4 tablespoons sliced jalapeños (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

For the Seasoning:

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder (adjust to spice preference)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Topping Ideas:

  • Sour cream
  • Guacamole
  • Blender salsa

Instructions

1. Season the Beef:
  1. In a bowl, combine smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Toss the shredded B Strong Beef in the spice mix until evenly coated.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil, and cook the seasoned beef for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside.
2. Preheat the Pan:
  • Heat your grill pan or plancha to medium heat (around 350°F).
3. Fill the Tortilla:
  1. Take a flour tortilla and place a portion of the seasoned shredded beef on one half (like a half-moon).
  2. Layer the beef with chopped bell pepper, sliced red onions, jalapeños, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Fold the tortilla in half to enclose the filling.
4. Grill the Quesadilla:
  1. Add a small amount of butter to the hot pan and spread it around to coat evenly.
  2. Place the quesadilla on the pan and cook for about 4–5 minutes on one side until golden and crispy.
  3. Flip the quesadilla and cook the other side for another 4–5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is browned.
5. Serve:
  1. Remove the quesadilla from the pan, slice it into wedges, and serve immediately.
  2. Add your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, guacamole, or salsa, on the side.
