Pesto Chicken Style Pasta

A creamy, flavour-packed pasta featuring Harvest B Chicken Style Strips, tossed with basil pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, and a light cream sauce. Quick, hearty, and perfect for any occasion!

  • 350g hydrated Chicken Style Strips
  • 350g penne rigate
  • 300ml light cream
  • Vegetable oil, as needed
  • 8 tablespoons Basil pesto
  • 3 green sliced onions
  • 1/2 cup drained thinly sliced sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
  • Thinly sliced green onions, to serve

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in a saucepan of boiling, salted water, following packet directions, until tender. Drain.
  2. Heat 2tbsp vegetable oil in a pan on the stove to medium to high heat.
  3. Batch cook the hydrated chicken style pieces, by adding them to the pan and frequently tossing until browned. For a boost of extra flavour: toss in 1/4 tsp of garlic right at the point the pieces are nice and golden brown and mix through. Set aside.
  4. Heat 2tbsp oil in a large pot over high heat. Sauté the onions on low heat then add pesto and cream. Add the drained pasta and mix through well.
  5. Add the fried chicken style pieces into the pot and the sundried tomatoes. Mix well until warm through.
