Harvest B Pty Ltd (“Harvest B”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Information we collect

We mainly deal with people who work for food service operators, food manufacturers, distributors and other businesses. We may collect:

• contact details, such as your name, business name, job title, email address, phone number and state
• details of your enquiry, such as the products you are interested in, your recipes and your expected volumes
• account and order information, such as delivery addresses, purchase orders and invoices
• records of our communications with you
• website usage information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit

2. How we collect it

We collect personal information when you fill in a form on our website, contact us by email or phone, meet us at an event, order from us, or when it is provided by your employer, our distributors or publicly available business sources. Our website also collects some information automatically through cookies and analytics tools.

3. How we use it

• to respond to enquiries and send samples, specification sheets and quotes
• to supply products, process orders and manage invoices and accounts
• to manage our relationship with you and your business
• to meet food safety, product traceability and recall obligations
• to improve our products, services and website
• to send you product and business updates, where you have agreed to receive them
• to comply with our legal obligations

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed for the purposes above, including with service providers who help us run our business (such as website hosting, customer relationship management, email, cloud storage, analytics, accounting, logistics and freight providers), distributors you have asked to buy through, our professional advisers, and regulators or others where the law requires. We do not sell personal information.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers handle personal information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site. This information is generally aggregated and does not identify you directly. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, although some parts of the site may not work as intended.

7. Marketing

We only send marketing emails in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.

8. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
