Ingredients

Serves
4
  • For the Patties:
    • 500g B Strong Mince 80CL
    • 1 egg
    • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
    • 1 tbsp chopped onion (white)
    • 1 tsp salt
    • ½ tsp cracked black pepper
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 1–2 tbsp water (optional, for extra flavor)
  • To Serve:
    • 4 brioche rolls, halved and toasted
    • 4 slices burger cheese slices
    • 2 tomatoes, finely sliced
    • 1 red onion, finely sliced
    • 1 little gem lettuce, leaves picked and washed
    • 2 tbsp sliced gherkins (dill pickles)
    • 4 teaspoons whole-egg mayonnaise
    • 4 teaspoons ketchup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Patties: In a large bowl, add the B Strong Mince 80CL, egg, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and cracked black pepper. Use your hands to mix everything together well, ensuring the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into 4-6 portions and form patties with your hands. The patties should be slightly larger than the size of your burger buns, as they will shrink a bit while cooking. To help the patties hold their shape, use your thumb to make a small indent in the center of each patty.
  3. Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a heavy-based frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure they cook evenly.
    1. If you prefer extra flavor, add 1-2 tbsp of water in the last 2 minutes of cooking. This step helps to lift the sticky bits from the pan and coats the patties in extra flavor. Alternatively, you can cook the patties on a chargrill pan or barbecue plate heated to medium-high. Spray the plate with oil just before cooking, and cook the patties for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  4. Prepare the Burger Components: While the patties are cooking, toast the brioche buns in a toaster or oven until golden brown. Prepare your toppings: slice the tomatoes and red onion, wash the lettuce, and slice the gherkins.
  5. Assemble the Burgers: Once the patties are cooked, assemble your burgers. Place each cooked patty on the bottom half of a toasted brioche roll. Top each patty with a slice of gouda cheese (or burger cheese). Add a few slices of tomato, red onion, lettuce, and gherkins. Spread whole-egg mayonnaise, ketchup, and American mustard on the top halves of the brioche buns.
  6. Serve: Place the top halves of the buns onto the assembled burgers, serve immediately, and enjoy your B Strong Mince Burgers!
